The Designer

Carlo Rampazzi

Carlo Rampazzi, Swiss architect and designer from Ascona, obtained his qualifications in architecture and interior design in Lugano and Paris. He began his career in 1970 as an international designer, creating a neo-maximalist style that saw him interpret classic furniture through a contemporary twist. In 1974 he founded his company Selvaggio SA, headquartered in Ascona, Switzerland. Following this creative path, in 1988 he worked with Alessandro Mendini at Abitare il Tempo, in Verona. In the early 1990s he became one of the most successful interior designers in the world, leaving his unmistakable mark on many well-known projects, including the Gran Hotel Tschuggen in Arosa, the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona and the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz.

In 2003 he founded, in collaboration with Sergio Villa, his own line of limited editions of furniture, accessories and fabrics. She recently discovered an interest in fashion and shoe design. Her creativity opens the doors of the world’s homes to families who appreciate not only her artistic talent, but her ability to understand their dreams and fantasies.
